Installation of a whole house standby Kohler 14kw generator. Prompt, fully staffed, cleaned up and most of all managed to work around the wife's blueberry bush. They fully explained the install procedure from start to end walk thru. I would recommend their service.

The Laplante team installed a generator for me. I had a wonderful team- Michael, Keith, “G” and one other electrician. I was pleasantly impressed to see Michael McLain join the crew as well. Michael guided me through the purchase of my generator.
The electricians were professional and answered all my questions and concerns. I do want to recognize “G” who volunteered to go get my generator from the warehouse. It was supposed to be delivered separately. I thought that was great service and teamwork!
Overall , a great experience! I will gladly recommend LaPlante Home Services to friends and family.

The LaPlante team recently relocated the position of our existing generator which required installing a new electrical connection. It was a difficult job working in tight space under our deck in chilly late November weather. They persevered and did an excellent job.

Our LaPlante solar team was top-notch from start to finish! We get that it's a complicated job with many steps, but our project manager Lisa made everything SO easy for us. Nothing was left to chance! And her communication with us was excellent; we always knew where we were in the process, and she let us know immediately when paperwork was ready to sign. Our questions were answered right away! It was clear that our installation crew was extremely experienced and competent. Josh let us know what to expect while they were on site and went the extra mile to look for ways to coordinate with our upcoming LaPlante generator installation for efficiency. The installation went smoothly, the workmanship is outstanding, and everyone on the team was truly professional. We were very impressed with the level of communication from the entire LaPlante team. They say that "every problem is a communication problem," and it was clear that our LaPlante team takes that to heart by working in advance, thru excellent communication, to make sure that a potentially tricky process went smoothly. Our installation was flawless. We are now ready to produce our own power, and couldn't be happier!

Our LaPlante generator installation was also fantastic! Our comfort advisor Ashton Potter put a ton of effort into helping us design the best generator system for our all-electric home. We truly appreciated his clear communication, technical expertise, engineering background, data focus, and attention to detail. Not only did he work with us on the technical aspects of our generator (sizing, circuit prioritization for load management modules, best routing of generator wire to the panel, etc.), but he also gave us tips on lining up a propane supplier, helped us find the perfect site on our property for both the generator and propane tanks, advised us on the best and most efficient way to prep for the integration of a generator transfer switch at our main electrical panel, and explained how we could do the necessary trenching ourselves (with exact measurements) prior to installation to save some money. Two weeks before our scheduled generator installation, we learned, rather inadvertently, that our HVAC contractor had changed the plan for our heat pump system without communicating that to us. Unfortunately, the heat pump change impacted the design of our generator system, but Ashton scrambled to help us figure out what information would be needed to re-work his calculations and re-design our system. He was absolutely focused on getting every last detail right and leaving nothing to chance, for which we are eternally grateful. His diligence in dealing with this last-minute curveball, as well as his advance planning and coordination earlier in the process, paved the way for a smooth and flawless installation. On the appointed day, our generator team--Zach, Conner, Eddie, and Jacob--showed up and got right to work in less than ideal weather conditions. Throughout the day they checked in with questions and updates as needed, always professional and courteous, and coordinated effectively with our propane supplier as our tanks were set. We are so very pleased with the results of their neat, thoughtful, and careful work. Thanks to Ashton and the entire generator team, we have complete peace of mind as we face a potentially long season of Maine winter storms, this year and in many to come!

I have updated my review. I will probably go 5 stars if they don’t continue raising prices. I feel the product is good but after spending 15k on heat pumps I feel I shouldn’t have to spend another 4-5k over ten years just to maintain them.

As a first time home buyer with a plumbing issue, I relied on Google reviews to sway my decision on who to hire. Laplante did not disappoint. They were fast to reply and great with communication leading up to the appointment and the day of. When I had a question regarding the bill, I was called immediately, and it was addressed appropriately. I would recommend LaPlante and would hire them again.

James came out to take care of our generator and did a great job. He was very efficient and took time to answer my questions. Excellent service as always!
