Had solar panels installed. The team was on time each of the two days. They were all extremely professional and hardworking. Any questions I had were immediately answered and if office input required they were right on it. When the job was finished they did a walk around to make sure the work area was left the way they found it. I was kept informed about the progress and can honestly say that I felt completely confident that the job was appropriately finished. They actually completed sooner than planned because the team worked incredibly efficiently. Highly recommend!! Laplante Electric had installed my generator so I was quite confident I would be extremely satisfied with the solar panel installation.

There is good customer service, excellent customer service, and then there is LaPlante Electric level of customer service – in my humble opinion, the highest of all and one that other businesses should strive to achieve. I have had “replace the electrical panel because it is an unsightly and potentially unsafe mess” on the “to-do” list for quite some time… so now that is checked off and all thanks to the incredible team from LaPlante Electric.Every facet of this project was handled in a timely, professional and incredibly responsive manner… from the initial communication after filling out a form online, to the site visit from the electrician and then the install team, and lastly, but certainly not least, to the project manager, who was extremely helpful throughout the process.200A electrical service upgrade from the weather head down - meter socket w/disconnect, panel replacement, additional circuit with interlock for generator…a full day of work for a crew of three, worked from the moment they got here (which was "spot on" the estimated time of arrival) until everything was installed and back up and running – as many electricians know, their work that really matters is mostly hidden in boxes and behind panel covers, so what we see as homeowners often goes unnoticed so long as everything works. The LaPlante team took the time to do things right, everything “looks” great and over the years I have worked with several electricians on many residential and light commercial properties, so I had the advantage of (mostly) knowing what I am looking at and seeing the work within the meter socket and behind the panel cover as it happened and can attest that the work done by the LaPlante team looks as good or better on the inside as it does on the out and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Many thanks to the field installation crew -- outstanding job!!Bottom line: I highly recommend anyone needing similar work done, and done on time with no surprises, to call LaPlante Electric and know that (to quote Shawn in one of the great LaPlante commercials that he stars in with his wife Andrea) “peace of mind” will follow when LaPlante Electric is done.Again, many, many, many thanks to everyone that assisted on my project and thank you to the LaPlante Electric Family for taking customer service to a new level.

I selected LaPlante to install a solar system after getting three quotes from local installers. The three factors that pushed me to them was their timeline for install, the use of microinverters over a string inverter, and an attractive loan offer. Adam, who prepared the proposal, answered all of my questions promptly and worked with me to revise the configuration as needed. Their proposal was a bit more competitive than the others but it did require me to have a structural analysis done on the roofs first which was an added step but not a difficult one (besides learning my garage would not be able to hold the load). Adam had a contractor to share but we limited the project to the main roof for now with potential expansion later to the garage which can be easier to do with microinverters than a string inverter if it is too small.About 7 weeks after signing the proposal, the LaPlante team led by Ethan and Chris came out on-time and completed the installation and activation of 18 panels on my main roof in just under six hours. They did a great job explaining everything and working with another contractor I had installing insulation in the basement at the same time. They left no evidence of their work except for the panels (and a nice pallet I asked for) which were actively producing power right away. Besides the install, Olivia in the office helped with every step to get the panels recognized by CMP to start net metering.Overall LaPlante was efficient, helpful, and prompt, which made the process a breeze.

The installation of my new standby generator and my heat pump was completed in less than one day-an amazing feat to be sure. The complement of personnel (6-8) arrived on time and went right to work. Each one had a part to play and accomplished it in a professional way. The teamwork was unbelievable-when help was needed by anyone of the workers they immediately provided it to their co-workers as required without being asked. It was like the entire installation was coreographed. Installers were pleasent to me, answered all of my questions and made sure I completely understood how everything worked. I've worked for a number of large, well known companies in my life and I have never observed such cordination amongst the various installers.The experience was wonderful to see. The equipment is all working as advertised and I would recommend LaPlante to anyone without reservation. ___________________________ Christian Montessori Visit: 4/22/22–Christian arrived on time and went right to work to install the OnCue Plus module on my Kohler stand by generator. I let him in the basement an he wired it up and connected it to my Wi-Fi. Along the way he answered all of my questions and when finished, fired it up and showed me how to use it. Once again LaPlante didn’t let me down. They were wonderful when I had standby generator and heat pumps installed and the maintenance since has been top notch as well. Super thorough, kind, and professional staff. Both the tech in person this time and the staff back in the office I spoke to on several different occasions to schedule, reschedule, confirm, ask questions etc. The tech was very informative and patient with my questions. Even took the time to show me some features I didn’t know about. I also don’t live anywhere close to their office but that doesn’t matter. They drive out here no problem. If I could say only one thing about LaPlante Electric, it would be this: Teamwork rules the day. From 8:15AM until 6PM the team installed our whole house heat pump mini-split system with an outdoor unit and 5 indoor heads.Keith introduced himself and gave me the game plan, then Will installed the kitchen unit and G installed the first bedroom unit. Then Keith was at the breaker box assessing and adjusting. Then Will was outside, then into the crawlspace, then back outside and advised me that the line set would be best on the outside. Done! When G finished the bedroom head, he was then outside, then disappeared into the cellar where he directed and attached all line sets to the 5 zone branch box with Will on assist.Patrick and Sam were scoping out the 18k Btu living room unit and the upstairs 9k and 6k. What to do? Go this way or that? Instead of going upstairs by the chimney, they arrived at an "inside the closet and through the attic approach" that was perfect for the install. Sam went above and beyond giving me a heads-up on my under-built ceiling joists in the attic so I can address them this summer. Patrick's ability to look me in the eyes and go step by step to explain the plan to me...and then to pull it off...was just great to experience! The constant movement of all installers was incredible.Ray was the rockstar who held court in the side yard preparing and installing the 48kBtu outdoor unit. Two work tables were just enough to provide a landing zone for Ray's tools and supplies that everyone would tap into throughout the day. Ray's hands were on every part of the action in the side yard. He was up and down the ladders and across the yard: urging, adjusting, fitting and finishing, all to get to the point when he and Keith made the big move and placed the outside unit up on the stand. The team work between all members was great to live with all day yesterday! Will and Ray; Ray and Keith; Patrick and Sam; G and Will; Patrick and Keith; Sam and G.Around 3PM I said to Patrick, "Man, a lot of steps to this installation!" He pulled out his phone and said, "I have 17,000 steps in already today!" At the end of the day, Patrick took me around to all of the heads explaining what I needed to know as Keith checked temps and assured perfection. Again, team work was the outstanding component of this installation by six extremely talented men.However, on every team there has to be that one MVP, that one who on this particular day who was the brightest light! From where I was standing, G was the man who kept at his own work throughout the day, but it paled in the numbers of assists he gave to everyone else to make their day just that more productive!I have led teams of 50 people picking and bringing to storage over 3,000 bushels of apples a day through many harvest seasons. We have pressed 1500 gallons of cider an hour and bottled 27,000 gallons on our biggest day. I know teamwork. This particular group of men on LaPlante Electric Mini-Splits Installation team is the best I have ever seen. Can’t wait to see the LaPlante Electric Solar Installers work some more Magic!

Last year we made the decision to replace our propane boiler with heat pumps throughout our three-story house (built in early 1900s). We worked with Adam Fredrick to get the system designed and installation scheduled, but ran into a few installation issues. Thankfully, Adam Fredrick and Adam Orzechowski took the time to speak several times, and returned for a site visit to understand the challenges and find effective solutions. It is clear they are committed to ensuring the systems they design and install function effectively and efficiently. In addition, it is clear they, and LaPlante, take their business and reputation seriously. Adam F. seems to live and breathe heat pumps - you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who can discuss the systems with more knowledge, data, and gusto! He is committed to troubleshooting and problem-solving, both of which are critical when updating outdated systems in old houses. Highly recommend!

They bumped me up on their schedule because they had a cancellation and I told them how important it was to me because it was going to give me more income for the winter and we are helping the Biddeford hospital provide a place for nurses to stay. Live on NH Seacoast and reached out to LaPlante for a solar estimate; we had spoken to a handful of other solar companies within NH and MA. Overall experience with the Solar Consultant and responsiveness was very positive. Pricing was extremely fair and competitive in which we choose to further the process with LaPlante. However, undergone multiple construction projects over the years, we tend to be very engaged and go above and beyond with our Due Diligence: (1) Found it interesting, there were not (1) recent public Solar Installation Reviews - All you find is Heat Pumps and Generators (2) Workmanship warranty was one of 2 sticking points - LaPlante warranty is sub-standard in comparison with others in the solar Industry. Based on the references we've conducted, although LaPlante prides themselves of having very good customer service which the references did acknowledge; where they fail is to back up their "outstanding customer service experience" with an adequate workmanship warranty - this was / is a showstopper for us: 2 years vs. minimum of 5 - 12 years with neighboring solar companies in ME, NH, and MA. Some companies even offer an option to extend the warranty, but zero options with LaPlante. Although not as important as the warranty, we found their upfront deposit requirements are 20% - 25% higher than companies. Most solar companies require between $2K - $3K to begin the process, permitting, paperwork with the Utility company, then another 50%+ when materials and installation begin. We questioned this and LaPlante didn't get a clear answer why a 30% deposit was required other than "that's our policy"; our thoughts was possibly due to cash flow issue.Guess our approach is "too Corporate :-) for LaPlante", but it's important to look at the entire picture. It's like making a major purchase; if the price or something else is too good, there's a reason. Although we would have liked to do business with LaPlante, we just couldn't land at a spot where we felt comfortable as responses to our questions appeared very scripted. Do your homework :-) !!

LaPlante Electric just finished installing a Generac generator for my home and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever so impressed with any type of service (installation, service or repair) that I have ever received for any of my homes. The entire team was friendly, enthusiastic and completely competent in every way. Zack who handled all the electrical work quickly adjusted to every unforeseen circumstance while constantly making sure everything he did completely met my expectations. Tate and Logan who handled the gas connections and generator physical placement and installation not only expertly did their jobs but also made sure that all their final work left every aspect of my home in a better condition than when they started. And Scott who did all the support work for the entire team (always with a smile) was absolutely essential to the overall success of the project. LaPlante installed my generator two years ago and they did such a wonderful job answering all my questions and taking care of everything from the installation to finding a propane company.

I sold my home in July 2021 and the new home where I now live needed air conditioning so I contacted Laplante Electric and within a few days the sales rep, Scott, was on the phone getting information and two days later arrived at my new home and was able to give me several options with quotes the very same day.

Once we decided on the options we wanted we contacted Scott and he put the wheels in motion…..on the scheduled installation day seven men arrived and everyone knew what they were doing and the five mini-split heat pumps were installed and the huge outside compressor also completed…it was all tested, they showed us how to run them with the remotes and they cleaned up everything when they were done.

I can’t say enough about how great and easy it is to work with Laplante Electric they are #1 in my book!

A contract for installation of heat pumps originally arranged thru Goggin Energy became LaPlante’s after the acquisition of Goggin. Once the date was confirmed for installation, LaPlante responded with high marks. Team 3 was excellent in every regard and the walk around before starting the project yielded some modifications that enhanced the results. I would encourage anyone to meet the team, go over the site for location of the units and listen to their recommendations. All in all it was an excellent experience and did I mention they were in and out in a little over a half a day!

Crew was very professional and experienced. They kept saying “we always make it work” when they ran into nasty obstacles - it was not just a saying, it was a point of pride which they believed!
The generator installation crew was 5 really nice guys who never stopped until the job was done. It sounds a bit manufactured but it’s true - this crew worked perfectly together and, although it was clear they all had their own areas of responsibility, they would seamlessly switch off to help another crew member when needed. Sebago rocks and a tight spot for the transfer switch just didn’t stop them.
AND they were all really nice guys!

Highly recommend the service at Laplante Electric. I felt that they went above what I asked and made sure to address all my concerns at one time and not break it up. My appointment was for changing out 2-lights and when Chris showed up, he was very respectful and didn’t mind looking at my other problems. I like the fact that he made sure all my electrical issues were completed. I bought the wrong fixture and he even helped make sure I get the right ventilation light for my bathroom so he can take care of the light when I get the right one!

I was very pleased with the service men and their professionalism, knowledge, commitment to their details of the generator install. They were courteous and explained all the details and why they were installing their product a certain way. The lead electrician converted two fuse boxes into one, this was a major task, and was also the lead on the install. He double checked everyone’s install and tested the generator. They took the time to go over the operating of the Generac generator and set up the system. Don’t quite like having FB or LaPlante assign a 5 star rating to leave a review, doesn’t give me an option to leave what I might think is an appropriate star rating- Just an advertising gimmick and perhaps reflects on what the company thinks is important.
That said we had our Kohler generator installed today, good job by Aaron, Josh and John. More involved than we thought with the transfer switch, took a while longer than we thought and would have been nice to have packed a cooler for fridge stuff as the power was out while work was being done.
Nice that they applied for the electrical permit with the Town CEO , though should let us know earlier to make arrangements to be home for appointment or when he shows up.
Be aware depending on where you live Dig Safe might only check out part of where electric and gas and water might be underground, in our case we also needed to bring in DigSmart to do the same checks for non public utilities, in our case this was an additional $375.00 and the timing to get these inspections done was rushed by the La Plante office, I understand they are busy.
The crew did a neat job and did a good walk though after testing the system.
Looking forward to the winter with the standby Generator in place.
