I found these folks after searching the internet for a firm to connect a generator I'd found a great deal on. They were not the least expensive choice. But they were the right choice. Their work is... really good. They are friendly, personable, and what I really wanted: Expert. The minute I talked to Scott, I knew he knew his stuff. Cold. He didn't know I knew already what he was talking about ... but I did, and I recognized that he was totally on top of his game. We encountered a couple of initial questions regarding the estimation process, that were quickly resolved to satisfaction amicably. Liz was great keeping me informed regarding scheduling, and Andrea made sure just prior to installation that all ducks were in a row. The crew sent to install was thorough, their work exemplary, and their expertise clear. They were precision fast, and designed the installation in an unexpectedly clean way. Aaron meticulously (inside) coordinated w/ Corey (outside) in a dance they'd obviously done a thousand times. Although this was my 3rd generator install, they still wanted to walk me step by step through all of the important protocols of consideration -- as professionals routinely insure. I have to tell you - what a pleasant surprise. from the start (getting quotes) to the installation (finalizing the deal) working with LaPlante Electric team was easy. Mike wrote up the details of... the job and the technicians, Aaron, Scott and Matt executed the project. They showed up on time and left only after the system passed the test and I was satisfied with the results. Scott, Aaron and Matt work very well together. They did their job quietly, efficiently and professionally. During the installation I observed how each was aware of the other and would check in once in awhile with each other to see how the other is doing. This is a key ingredient to safety and success. When one had a question the other had the answer. They were quiet, efficient and knowledgeable about the product and the process. And for all you neatnicks out there - they neatly left the area the way they found it. You could hardly tell they were there. Before leaving they set up the OnCue app and explained to me what to expect and how the generator operates. Fantastic people and service! They are a family-owned business that cares about each of their customers and about their reputation. They clearly have a lot of pride in the quality of their work and... it shows. For one set price they sold and installed our Kohler generator (including the stone and wood base to protect against frost heaving the generator), and they took care of everything on the electrical side, getting town approval, getting all we needed for us to secure our homeowners association’s approval, coordinating with CMP to shut off and restart the power to the house and coordinating with our propane provider (which hooked up the gas - they don’t let anyone else do it). Laplante Electric installed a 14W Kohler generator to manage the whole home when a power outage is experienced. City folks don't understand how important it is to be able to "flush!"
